The Ski Club of Great Britain shared this video from singer-songwriter Laura Beckwith on their Facebook profile recently. The video was shot in the ski resort of La Plagne in the French Alps.
After Ed Sheeran made Mayrhofen and the Hintertux famous in his video for ‘Perfect‘, it seems ski resorts are THE place to film music videos.
Laura is from Essex and is attending drama college. If she is a skier as well as a singer-songwriter she has got to be one to watch.
Skiing in La Plagne.
Much of the growth of the area as a ski resort was in the 1960s, so love them or hate them, many of the hotels are massive and have a certain style. La Plagne is actually made up of eleven ski resorts winding their way up the mountain from 700m to 2100m. Each of the villages has a different charm, from purpose built resort to original farming community, you choose:

The Vanoise Express cable car transformed the ski area when it opened in 2003. Now, in a four minute ride this double-decker cable car links to Les Arcs to create the vast Paradiski area.
