The Mechi Chal Ski Area, well known to the locals, is now part of Pamporovo ski resort. It offers more of a challenge to intermediate skiers with its steeper slopes. Mechi Chal is connected to Pamporovo by shuttle bus.

Pamporovo-Mechi Chal is perhaps one of the most suitable ski centres for first timer skiers and boarders. The long green slope is a great confidence booster. The variety of blue runs and the few reds give first timers options to progress. Couple this with Pamporovo being one of the sunniest and best value ski resorts in Europe and you can see why it makes the list of the best ski resorts.

Most of the ski runs on the piste map fan out from the top of Mount Snezhanka. The mountain has an amazing viewing platform and restaurant too.

In addition to over 35km of ski runs, Pamporovo also has 38km of cross-country skiing tracks and some off-piste opportunities all running through the Norwegian spruce forest.

Significant investment is being made in hotel infrastructure in the resort. Option from 5* to 3* are available and include spas and family friendly offerings.
