Rio and Notting Hill have nothing to fear from the Carnival in Fieberbrunn ski resort.

Fieberbrunn is part of the Kitzbuhler Alpen Ski region in Austria.

The Kitzbühel Alps have a great combination of good snow conditions, with lots and lots of snow making equipment, and gorgeous and authentic mountain villages.

Kitzbuhel itself usually tries to be among the first ski resorts to open for the ski season. Every year it also hosts the World Cup Downhill competition on the famous Hahnenkamm piste.

Skiers and snowboarders have access to 1,000km of pistes. Pistes are a good mixture of blue, red and black to suit all abilities of skier. Mountain restaurants are plentiful and offer good fayre at reasonable prices. The Kitzbuhel Alps are also renowned for their Apres-Ski with traditional Austrian oompah bands and plenty of Jagertee.

Not only does Fieberbrunn host a ‘fabulous’ street carnival each year, but the area is a mecca for freeride skiers for the whole ski season.
