Piste Skiing in Las Lenas.
Skiing in Las Lenas is based from a purpose built ski resort which began life in 1983 with its first hotel. With the base resort being at 2,240m and topping out at 3,430m, altitude could be a problem for some.
The ski map shows a good variety of slopes to suit most abilities. However, the 27 runs, with the longest at 7km, is not the reason you’d be attracted to skiing in Las Lenas and take the fairly arduous journey there. The attraction is the 17,500 hectares of extreme ski terrain, the largest in South America, which has reliable snowfall and a climate that results in fabulous powder conditions.
The ski season usually starts mid-June and runs until mid-October subject to snow conditions. Being so remote it is never really busy.
