Learning to ski backwards can make some use of those twin tip skis and introduce you to freestyle and the art of skiing switch and starting to scissor…

To Ski Backwards Seems Straightforward.

You can then look cool when needing to take a short cut back to the lift through (for example) the Penken Snow Park. Or maybe, just maybe, you can look as cool as James Bond on skis.

Now, let’s be honest, unless you are James Woods or Kirsty Muir your backward skiing technique is not that important. But it is important to stay safe and not run into any other skiers. Please take great care if you are trying to learn to ski backwards. Make sure you are aware of other skiers and boarders on the slope.

Note: If, like me, you are over 50, maybe you should leave ski tricks and stunts like this to the kids. If you can’t do it by now, the risk probably out-weighs the reward.
